This week the drift brought us the opportunity to take part in a short photo shoot with C1FIlms and the insanely talented and beautiful Miss Anna Sanders (@annnaes on Instagram) in the low country of South Carolina.
We had planned to try to get on a tarpon or big redfish on afternoon one and then meet the sunrise out on Hunting Island the following morning. The afternoon did not disappoint. Jonathan Halker, Anna’s significant other, put us in the money. We put the cameras away for the last few hours and got to take advantage of a flooded flat and some hungry redfish. C1 grabbed some great shots at sunset and we looked forward to the next morning’s adventure.
After some brief sleep and an early rise at 4:30, we got on the road. Hunting Island is a really cool spot that I would highly recommend if you’re in the area. Fully equipped with a lighthouse overlooking vast undeveloped beaches, this place was a perfect spot for the remainder of our shoot. Many portions of the beach have old trees growing and sticking out of them like fingers growing out of the sand. Anna did her thing and what we came away with was pure baddassedness. Yes, badassedness, it’s a word, and its badderass than badass. So anyway, here are a few shots from that morning and we are lucky to have one gracing the cover of our website. Look for more with Anna in the coming weeks.
